Chess. Growth. The work of becoming, on the board and off it.
Three decades at the board taught me one thing.
I'm a Canadian Grandmaster, coach, and mentor based in Quebec. I started young, played hard, and along the way discovered that the discipline of chess gives you something more important than the game itself.
“Chess is rarely about chess. It's about how you show up to a hard problem. How you stay present under pressure. What you carry with you when the position resolves.”
I work with players of every level — beginners learning to think before they move, club players hunting their first title norm, serious competitors building the temperament a long career demands.
My coaching draws on the same patterns I use at the board: clarity, honesty, and the slow daily work of becoming who you want to be. This site is where I share what I've learned. About the game, and about everything else.
